[Class 140] [Also in Groups X and XXIII] Light-weight panels comprise parallel sheets 1, 2 separated by and bonded to the edges of spirally wound flat strips a with open coils. The strips a, preferably spaced apart, may comprise more than one spiral each with its own nucleus 3, Fig. 3, and may be of wood, metal, millboard, paper, or plastic material- and preferably are wood shavings. The sheets 1, 2 may be wood veneer, three-ply wood, cardboard, asbestos, lime mortar, gypsum or cement. Such panels are said to be suitable for walls, partitions, roofs, floors, doors, &c. and for furniture- and cabinet-making.
