Class 20(iv) A finishing strip for the joint between adjacent ceiling boards or wall panels consists of a strip of paper or fibre board 1 having a channel 2 formed along its midline, the channel being filled with plaster 3 reinforced by cords 4. A backing sheet 6 is stuck across the laterally extending flanges 5 to each side of the channel. In use, the strip is placed so that the flanges 5 lie between the edges of the boards 7 and their supporting member 8, the channel 2, which is of height equal to the board thickness, lying between the board edges to give a decorative finish to the joint The boards are then nailed to the member 8.
