Abstract

593,756. Corrugated sheets for structures. COIA, J. A. Feb. 2, 1945, No. 2623. [Classes 20(ii) and 87(i)] [Also in Group XXIII] A corrugated sheet member 10, Fig. 1, for use in forming the inner structural component of hollow structures such as floors, walls, ceilings, partitions and panels, has formed in its ridge and trough parts, slots 11, Fig. 4, of dovetail, tee or other undercut form. Wooden members 12 are fitted in the slots to enable outer boarding such as a flooring 14 and ceiling boarding 15 to be fixed. The member 10 may have corrugations of stepped or sinuous form and may be made of sheet metal, bonded plywood, resin-impregnatedplywood or paper, asbestos composition, cardboard or resinous material. The member 10 may be made in one piece or may be built up from several sections fastened together. A long strip of wood may be threaded through a series of aligned slots 11. Sound insulation 16 may be provided.
