386,027. Composite sheet materials. MERCHANT TRADING CO., Ltd., 52, Bishopsgate, London, and ROBERTS, E. W., Gammons Farm, near Watford, Hertfordshire. Aug. 25, 1931, No. 23888. [Class 140.] A heat- and soundinsulating structural building material, suitable for panelling or tiles, is made by applying a sheet 2 of plywood to one surface of an artificial lumber or fibreboard base 1 by means of waterproof adhesive, and uniting the two elements by pressure. The other surfaces of the base may be protected by a coating 3 of a cellulose or other waterproof varnish. The tiles may be coloured by spraying or enamelling. Specification 285,614, [Class 140, Waterproof &c. fabrics], is referred to.
