525,638. Sound and heat insulating compositions. BRITTON, J. G. Feb. 24, 1939, No. 6157. [Class 70] A sound or heat insulating composition is prepared by mixing with water a comminuted woody or fibrous cellulosic material such as powdered cork, or bagasse, an adhesive material such as glue or wheat or rye-flour, and an oxide and salt of the saine metal which will unite to form a rigid binder such as magnesium oxide and chloride or zinc compounds, beating or whipping the mixture to cause inclusion of air and either allowing the mixture to set in moulds, or applying it to a surface.
