Abstract

A cement-asbestos board or sheet is made from a mixture of Portland cement, asbestos fibres in excess of the cement, a minor quantity of magnesium oxide and not more than 10 per cent of Bentonite. The asbestos fibres may be those of inferior quality containing talc. Preferred percentage proportions are cement 25 to 40, asbestos 50 to 65, magnesium oxide 2 to 10, Bentonite 2 to 10.
