413,727. Compound sheet material. BUSHING CO., Ltd., Hebburn-on-Tyne, and GARDNER, G. H., Dene House, Alderley Road, Low Fell, Co. Durham. Jan. 19, 1933, No. 1784. [Class 140.] Fire-resisting panelling consists of one or more layers of asbestos and an outer layer of wood veneer on one or both sides, the layers being impregnated with a heat-hardening synthetic resin such as a phenol- or thioureaformaldehyde resin or a glycerol-phthalate resin, and then united by heat and pressure. Asbestos paper or cloth may be used, or a pulp of loose asbestos fibres and resin solution may be compressed in a mould with outer layers of wood veneer. Specification 401,507 is referred to.
