500,501. Universal joints. HARDY, SPICER, & CO., Ltd., and SPARROW, W. E. Nov. 18, 1937, No. 31709. [Class 80 (ii)] Axially arranged alternating driving and driven pins 14 engage the bores of rubber bushings 12, which are vulcanized in holes in a non-rigid disc 11, which is of a material, e.g. vulcanized layers of rubberized fabric, which is less flexible than the bushings 12. The pins 14 are in the form of flanged sleeves vulcanized in the bushings 12, which latter have annular grooves 13 in their end faces. A layer 15 of rubberized fabric is vulcanized to the outer periphery of the disc 11. Specification 497,505 is referred to.
