Abstract

500,430. Cathode-ray tubes. KESSLER, J. Aug. 4, 1937, No. 21505. [Class 39 (i)] A cathode-ray beam scans one end 22 of a block 19 of electrical conductors coated at the othe end 21 with a thin photo-electric film, as described in Specification 494,310, and the electrons emitted from the film under the influence of the scanning beam are collected by an anode 27. A picture is thrown on the film by lens 26 and a corresponding signal current for transmission to a distance is taken from the anode. The film may be only two or three molecules thick.
