Abstract
446,585. Television. JOHNSTONE, D. M., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., 58, Victoria Street, Westminster. Nov. 6, 1934, No. 31908. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii)] An object 2 is imaged on a plate 1 of insulating material, having transverse conductors faced with photo-electric material, and a beam of light scans a photo-electric screen 5 so that the electrons emitted neutralize, or reduce to a standard value, the charge on each of the transverse conductors. An anode 4 collects the electrons emitted by the plate 1 and the vision signals are taken off from resistance 8. The scanning beam of light may be produced by a cathode ray beam falling on a fluorescent screen, Fig. 2 (not shown).
