Abstract
494,737. Grease guns. TECALEMIT, Ltd. April 30, 1937, No. 12429. Convention date, May 22, 1936. [Class 102 (i)] A lubricating-device comprises a reservoir 1 having a follower piston 25 and a pump plunger 11 secured to a rod 21 which extends through the wall 2 of the reservoir and has a piston 10. A detachable air motor is secured to the reservoir by threads 8 and comprises a piston 41 connected by a rod 37 to a second piston 35 which engages the piston 10. When the air supply is connected, air passes to the cylinder 6 and acting on piston 10 forces it against piston 35 and moves the plunger 11 on its suction stroke. Air also passes through ports 4 and acts on the follower piston 25 When a valve is actuated by a trigger, air is passed through ports 71 to cylinder 33 to act on piston 35 and also passes through ports 77 to the cylinder 43 to cause discharge stroke of the plunger 11. Several reservoirs 1 of different lubricant may be provided for each power head. The reservoir may be filled through the opening 17 or by pulling the piston 10 and actuating the piston 25 when the power head is removed. Specification 459,826 is referred to.
