Abstract

492,246. Two-part couplings. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CO. OF CANADA, Ltd. Feb. 25, 1938, No. 6004. Convention date, March 3, 1937. [Class 38 (i)] The metal shell of a lampholder or like coupling is formed of two disconnectible parts 1, 2 one of which consists of a cap having a neck 6 screwthreaded for attachment to a support and having a flange 5 with a bayonetjoint attachment to the part 2 of the shell. Projections 7 pressed from the flange 5 enter slots in the part 2 and projections on the part 2 enter slots in the flange. One of the latter projections may be a screw 11 that can be tightened to lock the parts together.
