Abstract
401,632. Vehicle lamp mountings. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Aug. 17, 1933, No. 22958. Convention date, Sept. 2, 1932. [Class 75 (iii).] In means for mounting a lamp in an opening in a wall or the body of a vehicle, the lamp casing immediately behind the cover e is formed with a spherically-curved part f for insertion in a ring-shaped holder provided at the front of the opening, the remaining part d of the casing being of smaller diameter so that the lamp can be inserted into the opening from the front. As shown, a recess a on the mudguard b is provided with a spherically-curved ring c, the lamp being secured in adjusted position by screws g. In a modification, the front edge of the recess a is formed as a clamping band, the lamp casing being provided with a groove to receive a laterally-arranged clamping bolt. The groove may be extended over the whole circumference of the part f. In a further modification, the lamp is held by a clamping band secured around an opening in a wall by an outwardly-bent flange.
