Abstract

1,019,064. Vehicle headlamps. WIPAC DEVELOPMENT Ltd. March 8, 1963 [Dec. 8, 1961], No. 44072/61. Heading F4R. An assembly for a headlamp consisting of a lamp holder 20, a reflector 12 and a transparent front cover 11, includes a mounting consisting of a bezel 30 having an inwardly turned front rim 31 and an outwardly turned rear flange 32, retaining means being provided between the bezel and the reflector to press the rim of the lamp against the rim 31, and the flange 32 which is located to the rear of an opening in the vehicle body or mounting ring 41 being provided with a female thread at each of a number of positions to receive a spring-loaded screw 39 for adjusting and securing the assembly in place. The bezel engages the front side of the lamp assembly and the rear flange carries a set of clamps to which lugs on the reflector are secured by screws. The clamps may be replaced by wire clips. The screws 39 allow of adjustment of the bezel in the vehicle body or mounting ring.
