Abstract

1,211,202. Vehicle lamps. MAGNATEX Ltd. 20 Dec., 1967 [8 Dec., 1966], No. 55076/66. Heading F4R. A lamp, especially a vehicle head, rear, indicator or stop lamp, consists of a translucent front member 1 of plastics material which may be suitably coloured, a reflector 4 of metal or plastics, one or both of these members being dished to provide space for the bulb, and a bezel 6 moulded of plastics bonded to the front member so as to project beyond the periphery and to secure the members together. The member 1 may have a recess 3 into which the material of the bezel extends, to assist in securing the parts together. It may also have a rib 2 for locating the edge of the reflector. The rear surface of the bezel may be metallized, an annular rib 7 being provided on this to hold a shield during metallizing so that only the outer part is metallized. Two or more reflectors may be associated with the first part, or the interior may be partitioned to provide two or more lamps.
