Abstract

1452727 Vehicle lamps FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 23 May 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 22618/75 Heading F4R [Also in Division B7] A vehicle corner bumper section 1 comprises an elastic synthetic material moulding 3 having a metal insert 2 therein securable at 15, 18 to a straight central bumper section 16 of the vehicle, and to the vehicle body 17, the insert 2 having integrally formed therewith a reflector 5 and socket 6 for the bulb 13 of a vehicle light 4. Studs 15 and 18 are, welded to the insert 2 which has an earth lead 7 connected thereto, the stud 15 being mounted in the bumper section 16, and the stud 18 engaging in hole 19 in the body 17. A light glass 12 is secured by self-tapping screws 14 to the insert 2 and the glass rim engages in a locating groove 11 in the moulding 3. The latter has a portion 9 for locating the positive lead 11 for the bulb 13.
