Abstract

898,102. Vehicle lamps. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd., JOSEPH. Oct. 21, 1960 [Dec. 1, 1959], No. 40730/59. Classes 75(3) and 75(4) [Also in Group XXV] A vehicle lamp comprises in combination a hollow body part 1 of rubber or other resilient flexible material having an integral peripheral flange 2 at one end, a lamp holder 6 within the body part 1, a transparent or translucent lens or cover 7 held in the end of the body part by a lip 4, an annular bezel 8 surrounding the rim of the cover 7 and held in place by a second lip 5 on the flange 2 and an integral shoulder 9 behind the flange 2 so that the body part can be passed through a hole in a panel 10 on the vehicle, the panel being gripped between the flange 2 and shoulder 9. A third lip 3 may be provided on the front of the flange 2 to engage a flange 6<SP>a</SP> on the lamp holder 6. If desired, a complementary projection and notch (not shown) may be provided on the flanges 2, 6<SP>a</SP> to ensure that the lamp holder and body part are engaged in the correct relationship.
