Abstract

479,289. Two-part couplings. STOKES, H. July 31, 1936, No. 21256. [Class 38 (i)] A split socket 1 is fitted with a ferrule 5 to limit the spread of the socket and press resiliently upon it. The ferrule has a resilient split portion 6 that enters a groove 7 on the socket, the part 8 being reduced in diameter so that the ferrule can be equal in external diameter to the socket body. Specifications 369,210, 402,474, 414,115, and 426,903 are referred to.
