Abstract

604,880. Two-part couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and MANCHESTER, W. Dec. 7, 1945, No. 33160. [Class 38 (i)] The resilient member 1 of a split socket is provided with resilient lugs 8 which embraces the opposed member 2 so that undue expansion of the socket is prevented when the plug is inserted. Lateral projections may be provided at the extremities of the lugs 8 for co-operation with projections on the member 2 so as to prevent expansion of the socket beyond a desired limit.
