A sleeve connector adapted to be contracted on to one or more cables is formed in two or more cables is formed in two or more equal parts 10, 11, the edges of the parts, which extend along the length of the cable or cables being formed with interlocking projections 15 and recesses 13, whereby the parts can only be brought into engagement either by sliding one longitudinally along the other or bringing them together opposite one another and forcing them together so that the edges snap into interlocking engagement, splaying of the edges when the sleeve is contracted, thereby being prevented. Each part may be provided with one or more lugs 17, Fig. 5, for the attachment thereto of a tapping connector 19. Alternatively a tapping connector in the form of a tube may be attached to or formed integral with the sleeve part (Fig. 7, not shown). Specifications 601,690 and 604,218 are referred to.
