Abstract

580,821. Two-part couplings. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and TREVASKIS, H. W. April 4, 1944, No. 6224. [Class 38 (i)] A plug and socket type connection device comprises a plug 6 having diametrically opposed recesses 7, a socket 1 for the plug, and a releasable detent 4, which may be spring urged to engage one of the recesses 7, extending through the wall of socket 1. The front edge of the plug 6 is bevelled so that the detent is withdrawn by the insertion of the plug until it snaps into - the recess 7. The plug is released by disengaging the detent by hand.
