540,372. Resilient pivotal joints. JACKSON, L. MELLERISH-. (Monroe Auto Equipment Co.), March 20, 1940, No. 5236. [Class 65 (ii)] A resilient connection between a link 11 and another member 12, 14 comprises a housing 15 at the end of the link provided with an opening, 16 through which extends a headed stud 13 on the member 12 encased in a resilient bush 18, which may be inserted in two parts 19, 20. The stud is inserted with its long dimension in the plane of the long dimension of the opening 16, and is then turned through 90 degrees so that: its long dimension is in the plane of the narrow dimension of the opening to prevent withdrawal. A ,pin 25 in the stud projects into the bushing to further prevent accidental withdrawal.
