Abstract

236,466. Payne, A. E. H. Nov. 21, 1924. Pivoting adjustments. - A pivot pin for connecting two relatively rocking members has screw-threaded engagement with each member. One connection may be a tight fit whilst the other is a loose working fit. The pivot pin may be formed with a head, flange, shoulder, &c. to bind against one member when screwed home. As shown, the pivot D with a part D<1> of reduced diameter forms a tight fit in the member B, the shoulder D<2> abutting thereagainst, whilst the engagement with the part is an easy fit to allow rocking movement. The outer end of the pivot may be flush with the working member, being formed with a slot D<3> or other recess to accommodate a tool.
