Abstract

440,660. Bedstead corner joints. WHITEHOUSE, A. W., Dunsley Bank, Kinver, Staffordshire. June 11, 1935, No. 19716/34. [Class 52 (ii)] In a joint for bedsteads and the like in which two members with vertical faces in contact are clamped together by a single horizontal bolt or stud 16, which, when slack, allows certain relative movement in the plane of the faces, rotational movement about the axis of the bolt is prevented by a lug or projection 20 on one member engaging an aperture or recess 17a in the other. A slot of keyhole type facilitates disconnection. Spherical centring surfaces 18, 19 may be provided. In modifications, rotational movement is prevented by projections and recesses independent of the keyhole slot.
