Abstract

432,777. Bedstead joints. BAKER, V. A., 58, Selwyn Road, Edgbaston, Birming- ham. Nov. 9, 1934, No. 32220. [Class 52 (ii)] In a bedstead corner joint of the type comprising a bracket 8 secured to the bedstead and having a flange 8b provided with either an inclined slot 8<c>, or a lateral projection, which cooperates with a projection 11, or with an inclined slot on or in the end or side rail 13 or on a plate 12 secured thereto, one member of the joint, e.g. the plate 12, is provided with a supplementary projecting portion 12<a> which engages within a channel portion 8d on the other part. The projecting stud 11 is formed with parallel flat sides to fit the slot 8<c> closely. The channel 8<d> is formed by turning over the lower end of that part of the bracket 8 which lies against the bedstead. The stud 11 may be secured directly to the side rail.
