Abstract

393,419. Pipe joints. NELSON, R., 7, Herbert Street, Wellington, New Zealand. June 16, 1932, No. 17046. [Class 99 (i).] A pipe B having a circumferential ridge C near its end is jointed to a socket member A with the ridge abutting the end face thereof by a union nut D whch screws on to the socket and encircles the pipe beyond the ridge to engage same. The bore of the union nut at the part G surrounding the ridge is made plain, and the extremity of the socket is formed with a coacting plain portion F. The bore of the socket is preferably provided with a recess E to accommodate the pipe end.
