Abstract

484,068. Plug couplings. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd., and WAGSTAFF, G. Oct. 20, 1937, No. 28578. [Class 38 (i)] A resilient socket for use as a valve-holder contact consists of a one-piece metal member comprising a wire receiving lug 16, 22 and two apertured members 13, 14, resiliently connected together and spaced apart, the apertures being out of alignment so that the members are displaced when a plug is inserted therein. The members 13, 14 may be parallel and may be connected by a simple strip 15, Fig. 1. The member 13 has a flange 19 surrounding its aperture 17 that forms the contact-mounting, the flange being riveted in a panel. The wireconnecting tag 16 is formed on the member 13. In a modification, Fig. 4, the members are relatively inclined and the member 14 is furnished with a stop 24 to limit its movement. The tag 16 may be formed on the free end of the member 14 and the inclination of the member 14 may be in either direction. The tag 22, Fig. 10, may form the resilient link between the members 13, 14.
