Abstract
478,037. Treating liquid fuel. MAKHONINE, I. May 7, 1936, No. 12963. Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (iii)] An engine is supplied with fuel by heating the fuel and submitting the vapour, before admission, to the compression pressure and temperature of the engine. The fuel may be subjected to the compression pressure and temperature in a boiler and the vapours introduced into the engine immediately after the treatment or the vapours may be liquefied before being fed to the engine. Alternatively the fuel is drawn, together with a neutral gas, such as lighting gas or gas rich in hydrogen into a pump and subjected to the desired compression and temperature. Formulae are given to enable the desired compression and temperature to be calculated.
