Abstract
473,797. Thermionic valves. M-O VALVE CO., Ltd., and BOYLAND, D. A. Sept. 1, 1936, No. 23934. [Class 39 (i)] To cool the anode of a valve adapted to work at 1 kw or more, a copper block 2 is soldered to the electrode 1, the block having longitudinal holes 3 through which air is drawn by suction maintained by means situated remote from the glass parts of the valve. The valve so cooled is particularly suitable when used for generating high frequencies, e.g. over 30 mc.
