678,795. Cooling thermionic valves. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. May 4, 1951 [May 9, 1950], No. 10491/51. Class 39 (i). [Also in Groups XL (b) and XL (c)] In a push-pull high-frequency amplifier (see Group XL (c)) comprising a pair of watercooled valves 21, 23, each of which includes a cooling jacket 27, and in which the anode circuit comprises a pair of Lecher conductors 1, 3 in the form of flattened tubes, being terminated in a short-circuiting plate 17, the arrangement is cooled by means of tubes 51- 53 contained within each of the Lecher conductors: one tube 51 conveys water to the corresponding valve, the others 52, 53 forming return ducts.
