[Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] The cooling-water from the anode of a highpowered thermionic valve is passed through a curved conduit formed substantially on a plane in a block of porcelain, earthenware, or other insulating material. The walls of the conduit are preferably glazed. Two similar conduits may be formed in the same block, one for the supply course and the other for the return.
