Abstract

472,203. Pocket - handkerchiefs. FEILER, M. Oct. 29, 1936, No. 29466. Convention date, Aug. 19. Addition to 464,654. [Class 141] The handkerchief described in the parent Specification is modified in that it is folded inwardly preferably parallel to its edges, and the moisture-absorbing layer is united with the impervious cover sheet at both sides of the folding edges, e.g. over a narrow strip. As shown, the moisture-absorbing layer 2 is provided with cut-away parts 3 at the folding edges, the portions of the cover sheet 1 thus exposed being stuck together, and a reinforcing strip 4 may be stuck to the cover sheet at each folding edge. The flap 5 is secured to the cover sheet by means of a non-drying adhesive. In a modification, the portion of the moistureabsorbing layer cut-away may be in the form of a strip extending along both sides of the folding edge.
