[Class 141] A pocket-handkerchief consists of an inner layer of moisture-absorbing material such as fibrous cellulose, and an outer sheet of impervious material, the outer sheet being provided with a flap 6 which, when the handkerchief is folded so that the impervious layer forms the outer surface, serves as a closure flap for the pocket so formed. The flap, which may be formed integrally with the outer sheet, or may be adhesively attached, tucks under a strip 7 when the pocket is closed. The fibrous cellulose may be reinforced by a thin layer of mull, or may be replaced by a washable fabric. The outer sheet may be of regenerated cellulose, cellulose esters or ethers, or paper impregnated with regenerated cellulose. The layers may be united by clips, e.g. of metal, or the marginal edges of the outer sheet, or portions thereof, may be folded over the somewhat smaller fibrous sheet and stuck thereto.
