Abstract

A dress protector to be inserted into the armhole of a garment consists of two half circles of sheet material separated by a fold line. The halves contain >=1 layer of absorbent material such as blotting or tissue paper, and they have an adhesive strip for attachment inside the garment. The layer of absorbent material is protected by an impermeable film on its surface turned to the garment, and this may in turn have an absorbent layer covering it. A thin layer of wadding may be inserted between the layers of paper, and a number of separate layers may be used to form the pad. Arrangement provides a fully absorbent pad which is very easily attached to the armhole of a garment, detached after being used once, and disposed of. It is easily produced in quantities for packing in tends or dozens, and may be perfumed.
