Abstract

1490065 Dressings E M BEARN and J R BARSBY 19 Dec 1974 [24 Sept 1973] 44721/73 Heading A5R [Also in Division A3] A dressing for application to the human body has, on the face thereof remote from the body in use, a representation of human skin printed onto microporous or perforated plastics film so that, in use, the dressing simulates the appearance of the surrounding natural skin. The plastics film may be high density polythene and may be covered with a transparent or translucent film, such as polypropylene, coated or laminated thereon. The dressing may be used as a bandage, elastic bandage, or fingerstall, or may have a contact adhesive on the side opposite to the representation for application to the skin. A backing layer of fabric or other absorbent material may be included, and the dressing may be medicated.
