[Class 141] Shelf edging comprises a plurality of strips of paper or other thin flexible material united face to face along a longitudinal line or lines located substantially at the middle longitudinal line of the assembly, and folded along or closely adjacent to said longitudinal line or lines. Two. three, or more strips 1, 2, 3 are assembled in overlapping relation, Fig. 2, and are united by stitching, adhesive, or other suitable means at 5. The assembly is folded about the line f, Fig. 2, and secured in the folded position by adhesive 6, Fig. 3. Alternatively, the plies may be secured to each other at 7, Fig. 6, along the fold line, so that by folding in the direction indicated by the arrow 9, the edging shown in Fig. 7 is produced. When soiled, the edging is folded in the direction of the arrow 8 producing a similar edging and exposing clean surfaces. By folding the strips about a line nearer to one edge of the assembly than to the other and securing the strips in position with adhesive 11, the edging may be made to appear as though formed of six strips, Fig. 9. The strips may be assembled in overlapping relation before folding in various ways, other than those shown and may be scored to facilitate folding.
