Abstract
483,984. Trimmings. KARFOIL, E. Dec. 30, 1937, No. 36076. [Class 141] A shelf edging comprises a plurality of plies arranged in face abutting relation with overlapping edges to produce stiffness. In one form, Fig. 1, the upper margin 1 of a ply 2 is folded over a ply 3 which has its lower margin 4 folded under the ply 2. More than two plies may be used, one set being doubled over the other set and vice versa. In another modification, Fig. 4, an intermediate ply 13 may be used and a front ply 11 shortened as shown. The ply 3, Fig. 1, may have an added ply depending from the front face. In another modification, Fig. 7, the front ply is folded back at 18 and extended to form a flap 19 covering part or more of a shelf 20. Adhesives, stitching and other attaching means may be used in all the examples shown.
