Abstract
478,027. Wearing-apparel. COLLEGIATE MANUFACTURING CO., Inc. Dec. 10, 1936, No. 33960. Convention date, April 20. [Class 141] A body garment, e.g. a slip, comprises a brassiere member formed of a plurality of two-ply panels, and a skirt member, the various plies being secured to each other, and to the skirt member by means of folded edge seams so as to avoid exposed raw edges, and thus render the garment reversible. In the form shown, the skirt member comprises front and rear portions S<1>, S<2>, and the brassiere member comprises duplex side elements, one side element being formed by sewing two pieces T<2>, T<3> together along the line 23, Fig. 7, sewing two further pieces T<5>, T<6> together along the line 22, and sewing the two-piece elements T<2>, T<3> and T<5>, T<6> together along their upper margins, the lower edge of the composite four-piece element then being secured to the upper edge of the skirt member by seams 25 and 30. The other side element is formed in a similar manner from the pieces T<1>, T<4>, T<7>, T<8>, Fig. 3, and similarly secured to the skirt member.
