Abstract
364,931. BrassiÞres. FORMA CO., Ltd. and WHITE, J. F., 158, Oxford Street, London. March 13, 1931, No. 7734. [Class 141.] A brassiÞre has independent triangular breast supports A each comprising two layers, an inner layer 20 and an cuter layer 10, the layers being nearly alike in shape and stitched together along coincident edges 21, 22 and along a length 23a of the edge 24. To the apex 12 of each triangular part is attached a shoulder strap 11, which passes through an adjusting slide 19 to an angular portion 26 of the upper layer. Each slide 19 is carried by a strap 17 connected to a coupling device 18, which is itself connected to a corner 25 on the lower layer of the breast support. Buttons 8, 8<1> and corresponding buttonholes 9, 91 connect an outer and inner layer to the corresponding inner and outer layer respectively on the other side of the garment. By adjusting the straps at the members 19, 18, the garment may be fitted to the figure. In a modification, the corners 26 are connected directly to adjust. ing straps and the shoulder straps so that, by altering a single adjusting strap in its slide, the garment is fitted to the figure.
