[Class 141.] The breast parts of a brassiÞre or bust bodice are made of a number of sections of material which is elastic in one direction and inelastic in a direction at right angles thereto. The breast parts may be shaped to afford a certain amount of fullness and the sections are disposed so as to be elastic in different directions. For example, the sections 1, 2, 3, 4 may be arranged with the breast parts elastic circumferentially but inelastic radially. An elastic or other waist band 9 may be secured to the lower edge of the sections 3, 4, and side extensions 10, 11 may be secured to the side edges of material similar to that of the breast sections and so as to be elastic in the horizontal direction. These extensions 10, 11 may be provided with buttonholed tabs 15 for engagement with buttons 17 to secure the bodice in position. Alternatively, the breast parts may be in two sections of the material arranged so as to be elastic in diagonally opposite directions. The elastic material is preferably composed of threads of indiarubber latex known under the Registered Trade Mark " Lastex."
