Abstract
415,023. Brassieres. JACKS, L. M., 30, Old Bond Street, London. Nov. 11, 1932, No. 31979. Divided on 411,423. [Class 141.] There is provided, in the construction of brassieres of the bust bodice type, shaped breast pockets of inelastic material which are permanently connected at the front and are secured along their lower edges to a bodice portion comprising separate transverse sections of material secured together end to end, some or all of said sections being elastic. As shown, the breast pockets comprise two sections 1, 2 seamed at 3 to provide the required fulness. Under the breast pockets are arranged elastic sections 7, 7<a> capable of stretching along inclined lines which as shown are alternately at right-angles to one another in successive sections. The rear sections 5 are stretchable in a horizontal direction. In another construction, a central front section beneath the breast pockets is made of the same material as that of the breast pockets. This material may be net. In another construction, hip parts carrying suspenders are provided.
