492,485. Foundation garments. THORNTON, A. A. (Strouse Adler Co.) Oct. 27, 1937, No. 29358. [Class 141] A foundation garmen comprises a back section 20 which is non-elastic in at least the vertical direc tion and has its side edge tapered towards the bot tom, the back section being joined to side sections 11 12 which are stretchable in at least the vertical direction. The side section may each be made in two parts one of which lie immediately under the taper of the back section. The two parts may each be stretchable in a single direction, one at right-angles to the other.
