468,768. Water-tube steam boilers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd. Oct. 3, 1935, No. 27314. Void. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1934. [Class 123 (ii)] In a boiler having furnace-wall tubes 1, Fig. 3, connected to upper and lower headers 9, 10, which are connected outside the furnace chamber by downcomers 4, the upper header is connected with the steam space in the boiler drum 7 by tubes 3 offering such resistance to the water flow that a water level and a steam space are maintained in the header during normal operation of the boiler. Tubes 2 conduct water to the lower header from a boiler drum. The steam tubes 3 may be arranged in the path of the furnace gases, and they may terminate at the header in perforated projections 10, Fig. 2.
