[Classes 64 (i) and 123 (ii).] Steam from a superheater k arranged between the tubes of the boiler is led into the water space of chamber s to heat feedwater admitted through a perforated pipe s beneath the water level, and steam is led off from the chamber through a further superheater k<1>. Baffles s<2>, s<6> in the chamber assist the mixture of the steam and water and collect sediment, which is periodically blown down. The furnace walls are lined with tubes e connected to the drums and to lower headers i, d.
