444,861. Water-tube steam boilers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd., Aldwych House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Kohlenscheidungs-Ges. ; 24, Potsdamer Strasse, Berlin) Sept. 27, 1935, No. 26754. Convention date, Sept. 28, 1934. [Class 123 (ii)] In a boiler with rows of generating tubes 3, 4, 5, completely enclosing the furnace chamber and connected to diagonally opposite drums 1, 2, downcomer tubes 11 outside the path of the furnace gases are arranged along the length of the drums. The tubes of the walls 5 at right angles to the drums are connected to upper and lower headers communicating with the drums through horizontal bent connectors. Water is supplied to the lower drum 1 from a steam and water drum 13 through tubes 14 screened from the furnace gases. A feedheating coil 19 and a superheating coil 18 are connected to the steam and water drum.
