Abstract

466,608. Pile-fabric looms. CRABTREE & SON, Ltd., D., and FELTON, W. Dec. 10, 1935, No. 34141. [Class 142 (ii)] The shaft of pile thread grippers b is rotated by a rack-bar f, which is slotted to receive the end d<2> of a cam-actuated lever d<1>. The bar is also acted upon by a counterbalancing spring a connected to a chain h, which passes over a runner on a fixed bracket and is connected to a second cam-actuated lever c<1>. The counterbalancing actions of the spring may thus be regulated or varied as desired.
