433,849. Weft feeler arrangements. MANUFACTURE DE MACHINES TEXTILES MATEX SOC. ANON., 6, Rue PoincarÚ, Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin, France. March 1, 1935, No. 6518. Convention date, March 2, 1934. [Class 142 (iii)] Relates to devices of the penetrating and impinging member type. The impinging member i is adjustably mounted on a rod c and the penetrating member comprises a rod d furnished with a head h which is guided by the member i. The head h is forked and is formed with blunted or rounded webs h<1>, h<2>, one of which contacts with the bare spindle when the shuttle is almost empty even though the other should be opposite a groove, (thus ensuring when required the necessary operative relative movement between the parts c, d). The rod c is guided in a support a fixed to a shaft b and is furnished with a crossbar or yoke e acted upon by light springs kl, k<2>, whilst the rod d is adjustably connected to a bell-crank lever g controlled by a spring j on a rod fixed thereto. The lever g is furnished with a hook f<1>, which engages a rod l to stop the loom when the weft is substantially exhausted, but otherwise is rocked and does not engage the rod. The webs h<1>, h<2> may be offset.
