Abstract

201,595. Heatley, J., and Field, C. April 1, 1922. Dobbies.-The catches 3 and 4 are provided with projections &c. 5 and 6 to be engaged by arms 8<a>, 9<a> on weighted rocking levers 8, 9 which are actuated directly by the pegs on the pattern chain 22 or by cam-shaped projections 25<a> on bars 25 or levers, connected with bars 24 controlled by the pegs so as to be engaged or not by reciprocating bars 20, 21 connected by rods to the rods 13, 14 actuating the knives 11, 12. The rods 13, 14 are actuated by levers 15, 16. The usual fixed bar behind the upper ends of the swing levers 1 is replaced by an anti-friction roller 26, which is used in conjunction with bars 27, 28. Arrangements are referred to wherein the bars &c. 25 are recessed and also wherein they are connected to blocks. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 12331 /93.
