Abstract

462,401. Grates. TAYLOR STOKER CO., Ltd., WATSON, T. G. W., and FERGUSON, J. M. Nov. 13, 1935, No. 31399. [Class 51 (i)] An inclined extension grate for use at the rear of a multiple retort underfeed stoker comprises stationary and moving bars 1, 2 arranged alternately. The moving bars 2 are arranged in groups upon shafts 4 and coupled by shafts 3 to which are connected links 13, bell-crank levers 11 and actuating-rods 9 by which the bars 2 are raised and lowered to the desired extent. The stationary bars 1 embrace the shaft 4 at one end and a frame 7 at the other by means of a forked portion 6. The frame 7 carries blocks 15.
