[Class 51 (i)] In a travelling chain grate of the kind having a forced draught chamber c between the upper and lower runs of the grate, the lower run of the grate beneath the chamber c is supported on rollers g mounted on shafts extending between longitudinal flanged rails e, the peripheries of the rollers extending slightly above the upper surfaces of the rails. Beyond the chamber c the lower run of the grate is supported by the rails e. Sealing plates k are arranged beneath the end walls d of the chamber c.
